Wateraid is one of the worlds leading water organizations. Each year, they help millions of people by giving them improved access to clean water.
Operakällaren Foundation was founded by Abbe Ibrahim in 2006 after his visit to Nairobi, Kenya. Since then, the Operakällaren Foundation has raised over 31 000 000 krona to date, in support of providing clean water in East Africa. Every year, approximately 8 500 children in Ethiopia die of diarrhoea caused by drinking dirty water. This number is comparable to all the children in 550 Swedish kindergarten classes. Every year. WaterAid has worked in Ethiopia since 1991, and is the only international organisation in the country that focuses specifically on water, sanitation and hygiene. After eleven years, Operakällaren Foundation it is now Sweden’s leading private charity event.
